been getting into WSU basketball, fascinated with Bennett's success there. Every year there were rumors he was going to be poached by UCLA or Indiana or whomever and I kept telling my wife, he's going to split at some point and I don't want this guy to go anywhere....unless it's to Virginia, I said jokingly! When the Hoos finally announced that was the case, I was pumped! Then came to the basketball board to a chorus of "what does he know about Virginia?" and "what experience does he have in the ACC?" People get vested.

Now, I don't know that it matters much who we hire as a football coach. But I'd want a guy who demands performance, who is accountable, who holds others accountable, and who wants to build a tough and entertaining program that competes every single game. I like the idea of hiring somebody promising from the assistant ranks someplace or from a smaller school program, rather than a bigger name who is a retread. We may get a diamond.
