I think anecdotes are a fine counterbalance to the bullshit
gaslighting that is being done by the "Covid truthers".
I went the first 50 years of my life without knowing a single middle age or younger person who had to be hospitalized with a respiratory virus. Since Covid began, I know 5 people my age or younger how have been hospitalized with covid. None of them were overweight or had any obvious health conditions. One of them died (very early in the pandemic). One who was hospitalized was a guy on my team in his late 30s. Really in shape, athletic guy (played semi pro baseball in Puerto Rico when he was younger). Didn't fit any risk profile. Outside of the 5 hospitalizations including 1 death, I know of countless others who were laid up for a week or two and described it as the sickest they have ever been. So there are pretty powerful anecdotes. And if you don't like anecdotes, there's always the 1 MILLION excess deaths from March 2020-Dec 2021. But yeah, covid is no big deal and just like the flu
