it makes no sense to have such disparities throughout a state where you see some precincts having to wait for hours, whereas I think my longest wait ever might've been Obama's first election for 20-30 minutes. Waiting for hours to vote is inexcusable. Machines should be allocated based on the number of voters in a precinct, and equally across the state.

With that said, I would think voting machines would be the more important metric than precincts. Sounds like this county is just consolidating voting machines into one location, which reduces staffing needs and could save the county money. Not unlike when a rural county like that has all three schools (ES, MS and HS) in one location. So in and of itself, it may not be a bad thing, and may even improve the situation. But yeah, also very possible that two or even three locations, with the same number of machines across the county, could better serve their voters.
