We'll see, but I don't think so. For one thing, in about 12 months my guess


is that the GOP will have control of the House, but not the Senate, which will be somewhere between 50-50 and 52-48 Dem, and we'll still have a Dem president to veto any foolishness the Republicans could come up with if they DID take a 51-49 or 52-48 majority in the Senate, bringing McConnell back as Majority Leader.

For that reason I don't see McConnell ditching the filibuster between '22 and '24; it doesn't do him any good.

Now if they still have, say, a one vote majority in the Senate AND there's a Republican President elected in 2024, I can see it being first order of business in January 2025 after the new Congress is seated, even before the new President is inaugurated.

And in that scenario there wouldn't be a damn thing the Dems could do about it.
