Meet the definition of insanity.

So, this isn’t about Rusty’s idiotic post - that’s meaningless. AA stands because the courts allow it to. To this point anyway. I have no doubt that many individuals have been helped by it. But it has not really addressed the problem.

It seems to be another wedge at this point. I am a believer in the difficulties faced by non-white people and black people in particular in our society (call it systemic racism or whatever you want), who were enslaved for centuries and didn’t really gain nationwide legal equality until I was child. Of course that leaves a continuing mark on society.

But AA should be questioned, precisely because it hasn’t fixed the problem. After about a half century. Maybe it can be said to have helped advance the ball, but when you look at some of the things going on now, like progressive calls to eliminate high achiever high schools all over the country, because apparently achievement is “racist”, we should be wondering if it has advanced the ball as far as it can.
