I didn't even see that in my view.
I think there is some evidence, although every bit of evidence or metrics these days seems to have a counter metric, that abortion rates are higher for low income women and especially women of color. So it seems counterintuitive to say that curbing abortion would put whites at an advantage if you are saying they want to continue running the country.
I just think the timing of this is very odd, the leak is odd, and the ramifications for November and beyond are mind boggling. It seems to me this is better than getting Trump back on twitter for the democrats and a struggling Biden.
But also as a pretty neutral person on abortion rights, I find it troubling that the term "not in the Constitution" is used. Because while I do believe that we should still adhere to the Constitution as much as possible, there are a lot of things that are applicable today that aren't mentioned. So do they all get thrown out?
I also do believe state decisions should trump the fed (for that state and others who decide a certain way) and I've always maintained that. But I think with tumult we've had here in the last 20+ years and also currently overseas, this is a pretty damned far bridge to be crossing. In the olden days, this would be course for quite a bit of debate. But do we debate anymore?
