AmLaw firms. It’s comprised of judges, a majority of whom these days were appointed by Republicans mainly for political reasons (not their merits). So if that’s the point, then the whole point falls apart on its face at step one.

Second, the legal profession in general is much broader than the small world of big law firms, which has traditionally been pretty liberal (at least at the upper eschelons), but that has also changed.

But you get into all the other aspects of the legal profession — law enforcement, investigators, prosecutors, etc. and it’s hardly a bunch of “liberals.” Same goes for corporate inhouse and small firm lawyers in small conservative towns all across America. So what “industry” are you talking about here?

If you’re talking about associates who just graduated law school and are working at major law firms, sure that is a liberal crowd. But it’s also something like 5% of the legal community. The partners are a lot more diverse politically, and most lawyers do something else entirey.

And again the issue here is the judicial system. Not sure where all these stereotypes about babies fresh out of law school or Disney employees even came up, tbh.
