Yes, it was a bit confusing (and I have to confess I had forgotten the original OK law, which is certainly fair to depict as basically an "outright ban") when I was reading your link and the one I linked too. If I understood it correctly, the second law set or changed the parameters to allow for the 6 weeks TX approach. But it's still a crime for the providers (presumably now after 6 weeks unless it meets the exception), and still does not allow for a rape or incest exception (which is even more absurd than the 6 weeks, although I guess you could make an argument you know it was rape or incest to be able to abide by the same absurd 6 week parameter).

Again, I can't repeat enough how I think this type of overreach reactions is going to hurt the GOP (and the cause they claim to want to pursue) a lot more than it will help. And we're already seeing some of that from today's reactions. While still pro-choice, I've moved more to the thought of more, not less restrictions on abortions. And even I would struggle to support those that put through a 6 weeks law. That's just totally unrealistic and not at all a serious attempt at addressing the problem.
