…not to give his stamp of approval to a corrupted and unreliable election result that half the country didn’t trust for good reason. Even had Pence done so, it would not have meant Trump would necessarily stay in office. It would just mean that we, as a country, would not be approving an illegally conducted election without further consideration of our options.

As for my kids and future grandkids, if I’m lucky enough to have them, they’ll know that I was on the side that demanded election laws — democratically passed by the people — be followed so that we have have a fair process and a result trusted by everyone. I suppose yours will know that you were on the other side?
