Yeah, there’s certainly a lot of street violence.

That’s a problem. It’s not a terrorism issue - the article you linked says no connection between those shootings, but it is an example of the kind of street violence that’s been on the rise for several years now.

Assuming all reporting in the Buffalo shooting is true, that’s something different. Premeditated act of terrorism, with a twisted philosophical underpinning, just like examples of Islamic terrorism we’ve seen. It’s a different problem. Willingness to kill as many innocent people as possible over a philosophy which boils down to intolerance. Because people don’t worship correctly or have the wrong skin color, among other types of grievances.

You’re not wrong about the pressing problems of random street violence, but this isn’t an example of that.
