I have seen similar comment from FDA -- yet, there are numerous legit

reports of real shortages across many areas and we know about serious domestic produciton issues/massive recalls over the last couple of months. Can I believe there are are distribution challenges as well? Sure -- we have been dealing with domestic logistics challenges for many, many months now in our food business -- major labor issues at every level of distribution (trucks, warehouses, etc...). This will always exacerbate an issue when there is already unusual pressure on something. However, distribution challenges essentially since the start of COVID is not new and while I'm no infant formula expert, it seems almost absurd to suggest we have no actual supply issue anywhere in the face of reports of what has happened with domestic production combined with the obsticles we know have in place for other global supply options.

I read FDA pointing to strong sales data in recent weeks -- "how can we have a real shortage when sales we so strong in April -- stronger than March?". Becuase people are hoarding and regardless of what anyone wants to say, we are still working mostly with "just in time" inventory systems -- so when you have a fewer number of domestic producers on anything and you limit trade as has been done in this industry, this is what happens when you hit a real issue with domestic production.
