Spoken like a jaded know-nothing who only knows what he sees on TV.
I’ve worked both in government and the private sector and you could not be more wrong…about most everything.
Oddly enough, you make the strongest case for the Administrative State that you presumably hate even more than you do Congress.
As for Congress, the biggest issue is the way Districts are drawn (to put extremists in “safe” districts that all hate each other and can find no common ground because they don’t have to) and the fact that the Senate heavily favors rural states where no one lives and nearly nothing meaningful is done to population centers that drive our economy and require millions of people to live and work together.
If we had a Congress that actually represented the American people legislative changes would come much easier.
Instead we have a paralyzed Congress that is constantly ceding authority to the executive because we have no other choice. We certainly can’t have a deregulated economy handled at the state and local level as there is essentially no such thing as local commerce in this day and age. I’d assume even you don’t want failing banks and toxic waste dumps next to your source of drinking water but that is exactly what “libertarian” nonsense gives you.
