Doesn’t seem that way to me. I have yet to hear an official discuss
Monkeypox without explaining the differences between it and Covid. I’ve seen several warn against a natural tendency to think of it like the pandemic which spreads like wildfire and has killed millions worldwide. And nobody is looking to mandate vaccines.
They spend a lot of time explaining the risks. Right now, mostly to gay men, apparently. I guess it took root there and it spreads from close contact, so continues to be most prevalent among those folks. I have no problem with nyc making vaccines as available as possible (which they have apparently not done to everyone’s satisfaction), or their efforts to differentiate it from Covid.
I will eventually get another Covid booster. I doubt I’ll ever worry about the monkeypox vaccine. [Post edited by hoolstoptheheels at 07/16/2022 11:38AM]
