IMO, you have to measure their dominance to era ...


George Mikan was the most dominant in the earliest of days.

Then you have Russell and Wilt dominating the next era.

Kareem came afterwards.

Bird and Magic excelled in the next.

MJ came right afterwards.

Then there was a lull until LeBron.

Hence, IMO, Russell, Wilt, Kareem, Bird, Magic, MJ, and LeBron are at the highest tier. I guess you can make an argument for Duncan, Shaq, and Kobe but I thought that era of basketball was down ... hence I put them in the next tier. Curry is knocking at the door. I don t know where to put Mikan as he was the earliest of the superstars.
