I have a Russell anecdote I read in a one of those adolescent

sports novels churned out for 13 year old sport fans.

Russell went into his seasonal negotiations with Auerbach or whoever was the general manager for the Celtics at the time. Russell was fresh off another title. Wilt had just signed the first $100,000 contract. When Russell was asked how much money he was seeking, he replied very simply, "A dollar more than Wilt."

A little story that stuck with me for 55 years.
