Reality Winner had her day in court and was free to plea as she did.


Or not if she wanted to complete a trial.

I know I don’t know all the details of Winner’s case, and without a doubt, none of us here knows the details of the Trump case. The details matter.

If your point is that the law should be applied equally to Trump, yeah, it should. But he also has the same rights, and ain’t guilty of anything now. He hasn’t pled and he hasn’t been tried. He hasn’t been indicted.

Maybe he will be, which will be a scary moment for the country. It’s already kind of concerning. But we can cross that bridge when we get to it. Speed is not of the essence here. If this is the path we’re traveling, care is of the essence. Every t crossed and i dotted, no exceptions. We can give our political demands for immediate gratification a break on this one.
