I don’t think it’s that he doesn’t want to

be tied to crist. He just doesn’t want to cross desantis who has shown he has no problem using the power of his office to target “enemies”… even when those perceived enemies are large private companies that employ 10s of thousands of Floridians. He’d have no problem at all targeting a county commissioner and/or the county he serves (particularly a democratic county like palm beach)
