“Wokeness” is really not a bad concept, when you get down do it, unless you happen to object to striving for equal opportunity and treatment for all. A problem with it is this notion that you can make objectionable attitudes go away by preventing anyone from expressing them. Or you can help people deal with difficult circumstances by sounding advance trigger warnings or herding them into “safe spaces”.
