Special prosecutor was chosen at least partly because Trump announced that


that he was running for president, likely against the man the attorney general reports to.
The person chosen was not chosen because of his specialization in war crime prosecution. That’s simply his most recent assignment. He was chosen because he is considered an objective non-political highly competent prosecutor.

It was illegal for Trump to have files from his presidency at his residence. Many of those files had high-level security classification. That makes it worse.
