Fewer guns certainly results in fewer people getting shot. That's a start.


As an exhibit, see every other civilized nation on earth -- pay special attention to Australia's response to the Port Arthur mass shooting.

I get that a lot of you guys like guns and believe in having them for self protection, but only a fool would believe everyone being armed somehow makes us safer. There is no MAD concept when it comes to drunken morons, gang-bangers, scorned spouses, the clinically depressed, or mentally ill psychopaths.

Honestly the real question that the American right has never come close to answering (other than providing laughable talking points) is how more guns DOESN'T result in more violence. Of course, that's like arguing drinking more beer doesn't make you drunker.
