That said, as I've said, and perhaps this is anecdotal, but at every tax conference I ever attended (mostly geared to smaller CPA practices continuing ed needs, what I was was frustration at Congress passing laws in December no one understood, the complexity of different courts with different outcomes. A constant theme went something like, "Hey, I wonder what lobbying group managed to get this line written into the code, blah, blah, blah.

I don't miss that world very often.

I think lawyers are way more fond of accidents than CPA's are of more vague tax complications. Most are simply slammed as it is.

That said, hell, I would have screamed had the gubmint prefilled forms for people. That's pure communism. I jest.
