in the DMZ. Also, I think the only possible "solution" will require collaboration between the US and China. NK's only non-rogue state friend, and NK's big boogeyman. The entire world can be at risk if NK simply shares nuke technology with the wrong parties, and certainly, we and our NATO allies could be at the very top of that list. So I actually do think we have to own this problem. I don't like being the world's cop, but we've been integral to virtually all developments in that part of the world for too long for us to realistically just say "sorry, we don't want to play anymore". I think that would be shirking responsibility in a way that would really hurt our credibility, and would just be wrong.

I am concerned about where the Trump admin is going with this. Probably a little less confident than I was a week ago that we're not rushing to war, but I'm still hopeful that this is part of a broader strategy in close concert with China.

IMO war would be somewhere in the vicinity of idiotic at this juncture, so I hope that there are plenty of forces pushing back if it begins to look like Trump is bumbling down that path.
