I lean very libertarian but I think going to a single payer basic coverage


model is probably the best bet. Then you allow a completely unregulated private insurance marketplace (unregulated as in no more than any other business.... fraud is still fraud, false advertising, etc).

My worry is obviously that if you give a mouse a cookie, basic coverage will become the UK NHS. I can already hear Bernie Sanders: "Why should the rich not have waitlists?"
