I'm going to guess that it doesn't address buyer's remorse. It isn't designed as a fallback when we really don't like an elected president, and have all kinds of complaints to point to, but none of them rise to the level of "crimes or misdemeanors such as treason".

I saw yesterday where 82% of repubs continue to back Trump (and about 35% of independents back him - I found that disparity eye-popping - we're watching the same movie and seeing completely different plot lines). Forced efforts to overturn the election will not succeed, and the country itself will suffer for the effort.

First and foremost, complete the investigation into what the Russians did. I think everyone should insist on that, and many repubs seem to agree. And while Trump's alleged indiscretion just sounds like Trump puffing our his chest and convincing visitors how important he is, it probably does throw a little more fuel on the flame of speculation about his ties to Russia.

But failing something impeachable, everybody who wants to defeat Trump needs to focus on the legit ways of doing that. In 2018 and 2020. Trump is providing a treasure trove of material for the campaigns.
