The Brits have districts and the Israelis don't in their parliaments.

The Brits use "most votes wins" regardless of the number of candidates in a district, i.e., no run-offs. There are 120 seats in the Israeli Knesset. Each party puts forward a list of ~70 names with their leader in position 1 on down. The people turn in a ballot which indicates which party slate they're voting for. The percentages of the total vote are determined and then translated into how many seats that represents for each party. If a party gets a percentage that translates to 35 seats, for example, the first 35 names on their slate are seated, etc.
