We're already there...

We've been running military operations in the ME for more than a decade now. Not stopping any time soon.

By the way. Soooooooo much more "collateral damage" over there than victims of terrorism here. So many more terrorist attacks on moderate Muslims too for that matter. Other than assuaging the need of scared people to "DO SOMETHING!", i dunno what gratuitous mass carnage will actually solve. There is no Islamic Terrorist Central Command that you can cow into capitulation.
