That's what I am trying to tell you, as someone who has had to engage with

this stuff not at a doctoral level but with some fluency, it is a legitimate problem that it is absolutely wrong to dismiss as 9/11 truther birtherism etc. Trust me, this matters to a lot of young people who are highly polarized around these issues (some in productive ways, others not) and these ideas are a relevant thing in America today.

I mean, watch the Senate hearing if you want to see. I've seen that hour and a little more, and followed that bill. If you can defend what the Senators in favor of the bill are putting forward (it moved on) with a straight face, I'd be shocked. Bet you couldn't. Again, don't blame you if you don't want to spend an hour watching a Canadian Senate hearing, but take it from an internet buddy that at the very least what's happening is not akin to conspiracy theories about govt. weather experiments in Alaska.
