Is it not already a crime to lie to the police and/or make false reports?

Michelle Malkin is such a right wing hack and that is an irresponsible article imo. Crimes such as rape going unreported is a far more prevalent problem than so-called "rape fakers". An abhorrent term to even use. So she dug up one case of a guy lying about a priest, ok, how many boys were actually raped by members of the clergy? A lot. How many women ARE sexually assaulted? A lot. Promoting this narrative creates an even more dangerous environment that only adds to the stigma of a very real problem. How would you feel if your daughter was raped and didn't report it because she was afraid of being called a "rape faker"? The courts are already capable of dealing with this problem as RS found out.

Although I can see where a "Fox News" employee would be well served in discrediting sexual abuse victims at this point.
