I disagree.
I think MAGA resonated with a lot of people - in some cases people who objected to Trump's persona but see "MAGA" as the quickest path to relieving their anxiety.
Change brings anxiety. Between 911, the Great Recession, and the massive societal disruption that is the internet, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a period in our history that has caused more anxiety for a wider array of people. Some observers think you'd have to go back to the Civil War. Some think it is completely unprecedented.
For most, it's questioning how they can make a living in a world where their skill sets are no longer in demand, in a world which increasingly feels foreign, and one where they can't see a better future for their kids (IMO largely because they have trouble imagining something so different from where they are from).
Really everything in society is under assault. Age old axioms about all sorts of traditional economic and social "norms" are increasingly questioned. So the quickest path to relief from all this anxiety is just roll the clock back. They'll worry about whether that's even possible later.
I think you over-estimate how many MAGA fans are mainly concerned about white or male dominance in society. I think over-focusing on that will probably lead to a full 8 years of Trump.
