Trump failed beyond belief, by the time yesterday's presser was complete. On Saturday he failed to even acknowledge the poisonous evil of the protesters. On Monday, he did. He walked it all back and was obviously convinced he had to do the right thing based on his position as POTUS. My feeling at the time was that I couldn't really complain about him doing the right thing, although like many, I thought it was insincere, forced, and a bit late.

Yesterday, he took it to a whole new level. Yesterday he took it to "evil". He walked his near unequivocal denunciation back, all the way to a near endorsement.
