Using work time to protest, it's what everyone wants to see.
I think that's fine, but I can guarantee you it will hurt in the long run.
There are other platforms you can use to protest. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram to name a few. You can go down to city hall after practice and do it. You can call a weekly press conference and come together with other players. To say that you won't watch if they aren't allowed to protest at work is crazy. How many of us can protest at work and get away with it? I guess I can, I'm the boss, as I should be.
I'm just glad I'm a Redskins fan and I have a choice as well. I'm not watching. I don't need it. I don't care for it. I long for the days of newspaper columns and five days off from much NFL coverage at all. It's overkill and now the chickens will come home to roost. I think in the end, this will be great for everyone.
A smaller, less profitable NFL might just get me to come back. No more 24/7 365 coverage. It will be great.
