Not in the case of any president (although I was not old enough to have a real opinion with Nixon). I think it's always bad for the country, and the bar should be very high to remove an elected president from office. Given the core of my objections to Trump, which is that he is a hyper-divisive demagogue, I am concerned about the prospect of impeachment, because I think it would worsen the divisions in our country. I think the only real way to defeat Trumpism is through elections. And I do think the recent indictments increase the chances that scandal will climb the ranks of the Trump Admin and campaign. So impeachment is perhaps a little more likely than it was before the indictments.

I was simply pointing out the hypocrisy of Trump supporters, who would have long since convicted Hillary in their own minds if a purported scumbag like Manafort had been her campaign chair. And if one of her officials had plead guilty to lying to federal investigators, well, I am quite sure that Trumpies and the Trumpie press would be screaming for impeachment if she were pres.
