..the type of money that would be impacted?

I know that excuse is brought up often, but I'd imagine there are ways around it. If you have a "family" farm worth $6M. And if the value is in the land, potentially there are offsets that can be created that regard "agricultural" land differently, both in terms of present value...and how that protected value is taxed, when it is converted to land being used for housing developments.

Also...how many of those "family" farms of that value, haven't benefitted extensively from Dept of Ag handouts to get them there to begin with. I was looking at some local data on the subsedize that DoA hands out, and it was mind boggling.

I am a big advocate of family farming....believe the family farm is the ultimate small business. But, I'm really not sure how many are impacted by the law. I haven't done much research on this...but I am not so sure the uber rich, aren't pulling some heart strings with the agriculture excuse, to deflect attention from themselves.
