What's this?

Two reasons


1) The most important one. Namely that allegations aren't evidence. It's one thing when the accused goes to trial and is acquitted in such a manner that everyone knows it's bullshit (I'm looking at you OJ), but it's another entirely when there's no arrest, no trial, and not even any stale old proof other than "He said she said"

2) The TrumpShow, and FoxNews before him, has put in a LOT of groundwork on this Fake News thing. The result of which is that his supporters feel that they have permission to simply ignore things they don't choose to believe in. Efforts to tear down the TrumpShow via scandal, whether real or sensational, only serve to fire up his opposition.
