What's this?

What are they going to do? Heck, you could build the entire wall and just

leave a gap on their tiny strip. Station a couple dozen boarder agents in the area to cover that half mile gap (or however small).

Are the going to demand that the wall be completed with no gaps and at the same time refuse to sell their land and fight?

Again, it's a funny gag. Great marketing for them. Well done. In the end will have not effect on whether a wall is built or not. There are many other things that may help or stop a fence/wall, but this isn't one of them.
