Corporations aren't big bottomless pits of money. They have bills too. If you take a dollar away from them, that is a dollar they don't get to spend on payroll, or the purchase of supplies or inventory, or dividends, or bond payments, or even charitable works.

When you tax money from a corporation, you aren't taking the money from some faceless, souless entity, you are taking it from one of the corporation's stakeholders.

Sure, maybe that dollar is more likely to go to stockholders and executive bonuses and not to something more altruistic like hourly workers, but it is still money that would go to an actual person.


But then again, I also think income taxes are stupid by their very design. I believe consumption should be taxed, not income.
