This is a person's life and future on the line, not some inflated claim not backed up by the facts for a million bucks when you'll gladly take $50K. A prosecutor's job is to do justice. Threatening an unjust and worse, factually unsupported, exponentially more serious charge (felony assault with its lifetime consequences vs simple misdemeanor) if a defendant goes to trial, or in this case simply requests a continuance in order to see if the government's own evidence (the body cam tape) contains exculpatory evidence, is not seeking justice. It's bullshit.
