It would be nice, but he doesn't have to go.
Franken should resign. If he doesn't he shouldn't run again. If he runs again, he should get primaried. But, let's remember, we're talking about a groper versus a child molester. Both are very wrong, but there is not even a close comparison. The Conyers move is a very positive development towards standing up to this. It would be nice if Franken manned up and resigned. But, he doesn't 'have' to go to prove a high ground here. The Dems have made it clear: that behavior is inexcusable. The Rs (outside of Mitt Romney) have failed miserably here. They need to own it. Dems need to make them own it. No Senate seat is that important.
