Been some resistance and there's been some support.

I saw a NewsHour report yesterday on the immigration crackdown. They devoted about the half the piece to the ICE vet they did a ride along with, if not more - he was extremely supportive of his newfound freedom to pursue illegals - do his job as he put it. The other half was devoted to a sob story about a Mexican caught up in this ICE agent's net, facing possible deportation and separation from his wife and 5 kids.

I spoke this morning with a full on Trumpie who saw the report, and told me how disgustingly slanted it was. It was like he revised his memories so that the ICE agent never got a chance to speak. At least half the report was very pro-Trump.

The govt is comprised of people. It's political make up is very likely quite close to that of the population at large, and by some reports, a greater % of law enforcement and the military actually supported Trump. But yeah it cuts both ways. But when ya live in that right wing echo chamber, ya find a case like this one on Mueller's team and just pound it over and over again, and just remake reality in your own mind to believe that all GOVT EMPLOYEES ARE JUST LIKE THIS EVIL LIBERAL!!!

There's no such thing as a Deep State. There's just a fantasy for populist demagogues to use as a scapegoat. And my point really is that you are not the sharpest prong of the pitchfork, yet you kneejerk to that phrase in your response to the initial post. Trump and Bannon (and people like Putin and Maduro) rely on people like you doing stuff like that to normalize the ridiculous. No different than repeating the case of the now acquitted SF immigrant shooter, over and over to normalize the idea that all ILLEGALS ARE MURDERERS AND RAPISTS (Trump's words)!
