In Japan, it seems that every economic report includes the phrase "labor shortage". They literally have companies go bankrupt because of labor shortages. It seems to me that it would behoove them to bring in more immigrants. Here though, you generally don't hear about labor shortages. Outside of seasonal farm work, you hear of talent shortages but not labor shortages. Our immigration policies should be aligned to the nation's needs. Right now that isn't happening.
