I do usually read full opinions but haven't read that one recently enough to make a meaningful comment about that line from Kennedy. I do think we have more disclosure than most give credit for (unending articles out there about specifically where many dollars are coming from), but the (c)(4)'s have grown. I'd like to read, including his full opinion. I do think campaign finance is one of the more challenging issues out there -- balancing what philosophically makes sense vs. the reality of the situation vs. how to even enforce things (how does one realistically limit spending and discourse and public relations on "issues"). As horrid as the situation in terms of actual dollars spent, I do come down on the side of Kennedy et. al.
