And not much more at this point. There’s more black than there is text but I don’t think it’s earth shattering information that the people paying the investigator would also provide him with information they already have. It is classic Clinton arrogance to have the info passed through a state department official. it is also classic Clinton that they are several steps removed from the info with a built in justification of “hey, we had sources and felt it was important enough that we had to share it” regardless of the validity. If only trump was smart Enough to keep the Russians from meeting with his inner circle and out of trump tower.

That said I don’t think it materially changes anything we learned after the Nunes memo as the letter is based on the same underlying intelligence. I haven’t been following every little detail of this investigation but I believe some of the information in the dossier was corroborated. I also believe Steele acknowledged that he included information that he could not verify and it was disclosed that it was opposition reasearch in the fisa application. IMO, page’s past with new information justifies the fisa warrant based on the standard process. I’m not entirely comfortable with the process but no one really seems to want to change it outside of the normal rand Paul types because, you know, national security.

this also clearly doesn’t affect mueller. You still have meetings and lies and altered security clearance applications and lies. The Grassley/graham effort to discredit steele is quite frankly nothing more than self serving political posturing. If there are issues with the dossiers, I would fully expect muellers team to find them and include it in their final report.

My opinion is also that this is just another chapter on the way to another it was improper and possibly illegal but no reasonable prosecutor would recommend charges finale. Who wins the battles will be determined in the midterms and 2020. Then the loser will manufacture another scandal to use for the next round.
