High level answer
I'm probably missing some nuances here, but my understanding is:
Fox and others (including a Trump tweet) were pushing the ("bombshell!") narrative that a newly released text from Strzok to Page that said "[Obama] wants to know everything we're doing" referred to Obama wanting to know details about the investigation into Clinton's e-mails.
According to TommyK and the Trumpers, this meant that Obama was lying when he said that he didn't exert influence on DOJ investigations (link below).
However, the timeline doesn't even add up - the date of the "Obama wants to know everything" text is in between when the Clinton e-mail investigation was announced to be closed and when it was opened again because of the Weiner laptop. The liberal/MSM reporting is just pointing out that "sources" say that the "Obama wants to know everything" text doesn't refer to the Clinton e-mail investigation, but rather to Obama wanting to know what's going on with the investigation into Russian actions in our election.
I'm guessing any reference to Nunes is just based on the general idea of a partisan guy misrepresenting "facts" (alternative facts) to try to push a political agenda and provide distraction/cover for Trump.
