I'm talking about the #metoo; #timesup; the women's march right after the election; the apparent increase in women running for local offices. It's not about your or my perception of the rights women lack. It is about the drive by women to pursue rights they don't think they have (to equal pay, to see an end to the "glass ceiling", to have harassment allegations taken seriously, etc). All I meant to do was draw an analogy to the way women have mobilized more intensely than anytime I can remember - maybe more intensely than anytime since the suffrage movement - under the administration of a man widely perceived to be a misogynist.

I'm not trying to open a debate about Trump and women or the legitimacy of these various efforts - I'm just pointing out that sometimes the kneejerk reaction against an administration's perceived negative qualities (such as a propensity to lie) can cause society to distance itself from those perceived qualities (in this case, by placing even more value on honesty).
