Not sure I agree.


The whole military is one big machine, and it all has to work to achieve the mission.

Seems to me that if medals meant something to me, and if I had a son who died in an A/C carrier training episode off the coast of Norfolk, and another who crashed and died returning from a combat sortie in the middle east, I would not view one of those lives as any less precious, or one of those sacrifices any less worthy of military honor, than the other.

There are no combat sorties without the training missions that precede them.
