Just a suggestion (since I will take this post as a sign of progress that

You may be capable of discussing the questions asked, despite continuing to try and mischaracterize my positions). Educate yourself on state gun laws. Most 18 year olds are subject to laws that prohibit them from buying handguns, and even other types of guns (or require parental consent). Further, most 18 year olds either live with their parents or in a college dorm where they can't have guns. The 18 year olds I have known who owned a gun (again, would all but guarantee more than you) had it purchased and stored by their parents, and for sporting purposes. An 18 year old kid walking ito Wal Mart trying to buy an AR 15 is rare, and very much should be alarming. Many states would prohibit that same kid from buyimg a Glock 9mm. You can argue that if you want, but drop the bullshit. It's a loser argument.

Regarding women and people in urban areas, you're again missing the mark and mischaracterizing. What I said in the OP is that healthy gun ownership vs unhealthy owmership tends to be cultural. I know people who hunt, work on farms, skeet shoot, or have a gun locked away because they live out in the middle of nowhere and anything from a bear or coyote to a drifter could show up and the cops would be 20 mins away. Thats fine -- and includes many of your female gun owners (but again, 2/3 of guns are owned by men). I'm talkimg about women who live in areas where there are lots of people around -- amd people in general who live in areas with crime issues. They both overwhelmingly support gun control and are the least likely to own guns themselves. Why is that? You tried to answer, but your amswer falls short and, quite frankly, doesn't make much sense. You argue people don't legally own guns because they're scared of being arrested for owning guns?

The answer is simple: people who actually live in the areas you claim justify everyone packing heat din't wamt them, because theywould rather have fewer around, less violence, and better policing. The ones who generally just want reduced violence, anyways.

That brings us back to my point -- me who don't live in these areas tend to be the ones that make the argumemts you made -- propping up strawmen about other communities they don't even visit and manufacture threats of violence that need to be countered with deadly force. There is a lime in that demographic and you will fimd a lot of people who generally have anger pr aggression issues in it (although you also just find people who grew up with some traditional view about the "man of the house" having a gafely kept gun, etc., which I dint agree with but dont demonize either). Or worse yet, the people stockpiling weapons for a fucking war! If that isnt unhealthy I dont know what is.

Point blank -- other countries that are more urbanized have successful gun control and few of the problems you point to, and most of ours are rural people who, quite frankly, tend to be out of touch with how 75-80% of us live. Why should they dictate gun policy? I dont think they should -- they shoudl have a voice but accept it if they get outvoted.
