I'd say it's pretty obvious that easily available weapons are the root

cause for mass shootings. There would be no mass shootings without them.

People may still be crazy, evil, have violent urges, or whatever. But the chances of someone like Dylann Klanzanski, the Florida or Orlando shooter, or various others figuring out a way to attack and successfully kill or injure the same number of people are pretty close to zero. Even terrorists who skillfully make bombs tend to inflict far fewer casualties.....and I have to believe these mass shootings are largely crimes of opportunity. Someone who is off and having these thoughts probably does nothing other than act sketchy or pick fights until he knows he can waltz into a store and come out with a powerful rifle capable of mowing down all those people who pissed him off. Then he may act on it....

There is reason this sort of incident is incredibly rare elsewhere, and its quite simple: other countries arent bass ackward fuckwits on gun control like we are.
