I haven't given it much thought, but I'm obviously thinking a pistol of

some kind. I'd probably limit magazine size, ammunition types, maybe caliber. But I also think there should be some leeway there or range of options. I say that knowing that it can be just as deadly, maybe more so, than a rifle. Generally, I'd like for background checks and training to be standard and required nationwide before you can walk out of the store with one, whether pistol or rifle (some types should be banned entirely), and I'd like to see better control of the secondary market as well as limits on the amount of ammunition you can buy at one time or over the course of a year.
