At the risk of bringing down Trumpie wrath about me being derranged or unhinged or whatever their word of the day is, I saw Bill Maher last week all but predict that Trump will ask for a postponement of the 2020 elections, and that over half of all repubs would jump on board just on his say-so. Forget for a second that I doubt that will happen and that I'm pretty sure you'd need a Constitutional amendment to actually do that, so I disagree with Maher that this is a realistic possibility. But if it happened - that's a major threat to 100% of us. The American experiment in democracy would be over. In the end, as a failure.

That's the sort of thing that a douche only out for himself would do. Less likely by far from someone with an ideology, unless the ideology is simply fascism. It's someone like Trump who would commit crimes and then pardon himself. Probably not someone like Pence IMO.
