talking about me, but you as the speaker have to be a really dumb POS to think anyone will be swayed by insulting, criticizing, and suggesting they're some evil personality they realize they're not in their heart. And that isn't helped when your Stand With Her crowd keeps repeating and exaggerating it on your behalf. You do exactly the opposite, you cause them to dig in their heels and strengthen their resolve against you. Claiming it was only about 50% of those that happen to agree with me politically doesn't make it a meaningless "throw away line", it makes the speaker a condescending smug arrogant POS that thinks they're a better human than you. And makes you even dumber for thinking that defense will excuse your saying it.

And while nowhere near the same league, you're doing the same thing here with your claim about being "so devoted to your political party", and suggesting that if I don't therefore see it as you do, we are "lost as a Nation" (presumably because logic and intelligence couldn't possibly allow you to conclude differently). Well, could you possibly even fathom that I don't give a flying F about the GOP? Many of their social positions I don't agree with. But given the two realistic choices we were given, I felt the plan and approach Trump (and the GOP) was proposing was much better for the country (economically) than the approach proposed by Hillary. Having seen a year and a half of results, I still believe that, and if anything, it has been better than I even expected (or less worse than I feared). If the Dems actually put forth what I thought was the plan which was better for our country, I would happily vote for them again. They didn't, and all signs keep pointing to their going the opposite direction. So yeah, Trump is still a boorish, crude, vile individual, but he's not the monster, or end-of-the-World threat you guys want to claim he is at ever turn. So the hyperbole and "outrage" you guys keep screaming about at every opportunity, will have the same effect as calling us "deplorables". That's the point Hoolstop was trying to make to you guys here (and others have before) IMO.
